BEIJING, March 16 (Xinhua) according to the official news of the organizing committee of Hangzhou Asian Games, Hearthstone legend is an e-sports project produced by Blizzard Entertainment Company in the United States and operated by NetEase Company in China, due to the expiration of the business cooperation between the two parties, no agreement has been reached on the renewal of the contract, resulting in the termination of the project operation team and server, and the pre-conditions for inclusion in the e-sports project of Hangzhou Asian Games are no longer available.
According to the requirements of the Hangzhou Asian Games project setting procedure, the Yao AO Council decided to set up 8 e-sports events in Hangzhou Asian Games in November 2021. On March 16, the fifth coordination committee meeting of the Yao AO Council decided to cancel the project setting of Hearthstone legend, and the Hangzhou Asian Games e-sports will set up 7 competitions.
