The general administration and other quartet signed a contract to build a national junior women’s hockey team in Shenyang.

China News Service, Shenyang, March 9 (reporter Han Hong) on the 9th, the National Sports General Administration’s hand Music baseball and softball Sports Management Center, Liaoning Sports Bureau, Shenyang Sports Bureau, shenyang Sports Development Center quartet signed the agreement of “cooperation to build a national junior women’s hockey team” in Shenyang.

The national junior women’s hockey team was founded in 2009. Its main task is to train reserve talents for the national youth team and the national team, and it also undertakes the task of international competitions for teenagers. Since its establishment, it has transported 28 athletes to the national women’s hockey team. Currently, 15 of the national women’s hockey teams preparing for the Paris Olympic Games are trained and transported by the National Young Women’s hockey team.

Wang Tao, director of the National Sports General Administration’s baseball and softball Sports Management Center, said that the quartet cooperated to build a national junior women’s hockey team, aiming to cultivate high-quality hockey reserve talents and prepare for Asian and World Youth women’s hockey competitions, strive to achieve good results in the 2026 Youth Olympic Games in Senegal.

Wang Tao said that Liaoning is a major sports province and a strong sports province, training and transporting a large number of competitive sports talents for the country. In hockey, Liaoning players have always been the backbone of Chinese hockey teams in international competitions. This cooperation is to further develop and expand the Chinese hockey project with the help of Liaoning, a fertile Sports land.

Song Kai, director of Liaoning sports bureau, said that Liaoning men’s hockey team and women’s hockey team have won national championships, sending a large number of national players to the country. Liaoning women’s hockey team helped the Chinese women’s hockey team won the fourth place in the 2004 Athens Olympic Games and the second place in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. In the next step, Liaoning will build a good team, provide good service guarantee, train and transport talents for Chinese hockey, and contribute Liaoning’s strength to the construction of a sports power.
