The project started construction in October 202020. the total area of the project is about 265000 square meters, and the total construction area is about 136000 square meters. It is positioned as a 63000-seat super football field and is the first professional football stadium in Dalian.

The architectural design inspiration of this project comes from “HAILANG and conch”: the appearance of the building is beautiful and dynamic, and its skin is like a sparkling sea surface, reflecting the coastal cultural characteristics of Dalian, the romantic capital; the spiral rising curve comes from conch, which implies the city spirit of Dalian, a famous football city, to move forward and strive for progress walking in the waves.

Among them, the facade adopts ETFE film of nearly 40000 square meters, including 9 kinds of blue membrane and 7823 films, which is currently the project with the largest coverage area of professional football stadium membrane structures in the world and the most single ETFE membrane structures.

The project floodlight system includes more than 17000 sets of LED linear light on the wall, 784 sets of 280W LED floodlights on the ceiling and 420 sets of 420W LED floodlights. The overall floodlight is mainly dynamic light, supplemented by static floodlight, combined with static and static and designed festivals, there are three different modes on weekdays and at night, with “blue sea and white clouds” as the main color, and “ocean blue” as the theme on the facade. The ceiling lights create white clouds, full of layering, showing the romantic seaside color.
