On February 5th, it coincided with the first anniversary of the successful holding of Beijing Winter Olympics. Beijing Xiang Sports Museum, located on the first floor of China art trading center, Songzhuang Art Zone, Tongzhou, Beijing, entered the stage of internal trial operation.
On August 5, 2022, Beijing municipal bureau of cultural relics selected 13 first batch of “class museums” cultivation pilot units that can be opened to the outside world from 561 types of museums in Beijing, beijing Xiang Sports Museum is one of the three “museums” among the first 13 venues. In the second half of 2022, Beijing Xiang Sports Museum started construction.
According to the introduction, Beijing Xiang sports museum gathers ancient Chinese sports, modern Chinese sports, new Chinese sports, provincial and municipal sports, individual sports and world sports, as well as Olympic cultural relics and art collections, exhibition, research and related experience entertainment activities are integrated into a comprehensive sports museum. There are ancient sports cultural relics exhibition areas, modern Chinese sports exhibition areas, provincial, municipal and autonomous regions exhibition areas, various sports exhibition areas, new China sports exhibition areas, Chinese and foreign ice and snow sports exhibition areas, world sports exhibition areas, Olympic exhibition areas, there are 15 exhibition areas including sports experience entertainment area, sports Literature Museum, sports Art Museum, sports sculpture park, sports Gallery, Beijing Sports history exhibition area and temporary exhibition area. The collection contains more than 20,000 pieces of ancient and modern Chinese sports relics, more than 20,000 pieces of modern Chinese sports, world sports and Olympic collections, and more than 2,000 pieces of ancient and modern Chinese and foreign sports Olympic relics and collections.
During the trial operation, Beijing Xiang Sports Museum will hold a temporary exhibition “the power of faith-the Chinese Communist party’s spiritual pedigree Red Sports Olympic Collection Exhibition”, displaying more than 100 collections. At the same time, in order to celebrate the first anniversary of the successful holding of Beijing Winter Olympics, Beijing Xiang Sports Museum will hold China Ice and snow sports and collection exhibitions of previous Winter Olympics, showing Altay old fur snowboard, the origin of human skiing, there are more than 100 pieces of handcrafted iron skates in Qing Dynasty, ice and snow sports materials in the Republic of China, old photos, torch, official reports, mascots, tickets and other series of collections.
It is reported that the museum is not open to the public during the trial operation, and will be open to the public after the official opening.
