Brazilian Chinese set up a football club looking forward to contributing to the football exchange between China and Pakistan

Xinhua News Agency, SAO PAULO, March 20 (reporter Zhao Yan, Chen haoxiao) a club which has been established for only two years, its U20 team can eliminate Vasco da Gama of the traditional strong team in Brazil’s most influential youth league, u17 team can beat Palmeras and Corinthians in the league. U20, U17 and U15 teams all entered the second round in the Brazilian National League-this football club called Ibrachina has recently entered the second round because of its excellent record, it has attracted extensive attention from the Brazilian football community and the media.

The full name of Ibrachina is China-Pakistan Social and Cultural Research Center, founded by Chinese Thomas Luo, whose main purpose is to promote social and cultural exchanges between the two countries. In recent years, the center has held a series of cultural exchange activities as well as science and technology, education, sports, food, health and leisure activities, and celebrated Chinese traditional festivals such as Spring Festival, Dragon Boat Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival in Brazil, we hope to promote the cooperation between China and Pakistan through language teaching, art and cultural activities.

Why did you expand your business into football? Enrick Rowe, Thomas Rowe’s younger brother and chairman of the Ibrachina club, told Xinhua news agency: “Football is the most popular sport in Latin America. We combine poverty alleviation, cultural exchange and football, can get more extensive attention and recognition.”

Ibrachina joining football started from a social project, using football to help children in two poor communities, San Matteus and eliopolis in Sao Paulo. Enrik Rowe believes that many football players in Brazil are out of the poor community, so there are no lack of football talents in the poor community. What those children lack is just opportunities, therefore, the cultural center wants to help these children in the way of football school.

“Through training in football schools, children in poor communities can also learn to obey discipline and live in harmony with others to avoid going on a crooked road in the future.” He said.

During the outbreak of the new championship, many Brazilian football clubs had financial difficulties due to the suspension of the league and the cancellation of commercial matches. The youth echelon was the first to be laid off. At this time, Ibrachina set up its own football club to receive echelon players from the traditional club, so that those who did not enter the adult team could continue training.

There are many “good seedlings” in this group of players. After the recovery of various levels of Brazilian leagues last year, they helped Ibrachina achieve a good record. With good results, echelon players are more likely to enter strong teams when they grow up. At the beginning of this year, many people moved to Brazilian giants such as flamenco and palmelas. Gustav, the goalkeeper of U17 team of Ibrachina club, has been selected into the Brazilian national team of this age group, and two other players who came out of the club have been selected into the U20 national team.

Matteus Macon was a player who joined the team at the beginning of the club’s establishment. He told the reporter: “I didn’t have a club during the epidemic, and I was recruited through inspection and testing Ibrachina. After I came here, I participated in the U20 league in Sao Paulo, and other teams liked me at that time. There is no adult team in Ibrachina. After that, I hope to enter the traditional strong team and let more Brazilians know Ibrachina this club with my own performance.”

Enrick Rowe said that the club adopted the business operation mode and completely selected players from the technical level. At present, no Chinese players and descendants of Chinese have joined, the main purpose of the club now is to let Brazilians see them and recognize them.

At the same time, Ibrachina has carried out football exchanges between China and Pakistan through friendly matches and other forms. During the “China Immigration Day” event on last August, the Ibrachina club and the Brazilian Association of Chinese-funded enterprises jointly held the “China-Pakistan football friendly match”, and the employees of Chinese-funded enterprises competed with Brazilian players to enhance their understanding.

Nowadays, international exchanges in all aspects have basically returned to normal. Enric Luo has also begun to re-contact the Chinese club, hoping to start more football exchanges. He said: “In the future, we intend to cooperate with domestic clubs to bring players to Brazil for competition and training. Brazilian players in our club can also go to China to communicate, so that the new generation of Brazilians can not only understand Chinese football, but also understand Chinese culture.”
