Xinhua News Agency, Hainan, Mannings, December 22 (Zhang Junbao) on December 22, the 12th Mannings international surfing festival kicked off in Riyue Bay, Wanning City, Hainan province. This international surfing festival includes the National Surfing Championships, the national youth surfing championship and the National Surfing Championship are three national competitions.
A total of 15 professional teams from 11 provinces (autonomous regions) signed up for the competition, of which 3 teams from Hainan and Shandong participated in the competition, and each team sent a strong military general, hainan Sports Vocational and Technical College sent a 21-member team to become the team with the largest number of participants.
There are nearly 300 athletes participating in this international surfing festival, and thicker than water of the country are present. The competition is very fierce. Two surfing champions of the 14th National Games appear in the arena at the same time, the women’s short board champion participated in the competition on behalf of Hainan Sports Vocational and Technical College Winnie, while the men’s short Board Champion Qiu Zhuo participated in the competition on behalf of Hainan team. The competition consists of four projects: men’s short board, women’s short board, men’s long board and women’s long board, which are divided into open group, U18 group and U15 Group for competition. The competition also has team competitions and relay competitions.
According to the introduction, this competition adopts the double-track mode. The two competitions are played at the same time, and the foreign referee acts as the technical representative, which is executed through remote video. The competition will end on December 28.
Mannings Riyue Bay is one of the few sea areas in the world with high quality fixed-point wave type and beach wave type. The water quality is clear and the average wave height is 1.5-2 meters all year round, HAILANG is long, powerful and has a high frequency of ups and downs. It is praised as one of the world’s top ten surfing resorts by international media and world surfing enthusiasts. It attracts many surfing athletes and enthusiasts from all over the world all the year round. By holding various surfing events, Mannings has gradually become the gathering center of Chinese surfing culture. According to statistics, there are 33 surfing clubs and 173 surfing coaches in Riyue Bay.
