Wawu Primary School is located on a high mountain with an altitude of 2700 meters. It is covered with clouds all year round and is called “cloud Primary School”. More than half of the children in the school are playing football. Qu Bigu, the headmaster of Wawu Primary School, formed a women’s football team in 2018, hoping to make the girls in these mountains gain happiness and more possibilities of life through football. At present, the School women’s football team has 38 players, and it has to be trained three to four times a day from morning exercises. But in the past few years, children have been training on the dirt and often get injured.
On the evening of July 26 this year, the Chinese women’s football team, who won the runner-up of the East Asia Cup, announced, “the second Chinese women’s football theme Stadium will be built in Wawu Primary School, Zhaojue county, Liang Shan of Sichuan province, so that the girls here can bid farewell to the mud, own your own football field.” Nowadays, the Green Stadium is very conspicuous around the mountains. A white rose in the middle of the stadium also represents the spirit of Chinese women’s football team fighting tenaciously and never giving up.
“It’s so beautiful! This stadium has always been the dream of our teachers and students.
