Yangtze River Delta Sports Festival is a regional independent brand event jointly created and held by the sports departments of Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces. The first two sessions were successfully held in Shanghai and Jiangsu respectively, and now they officially enter “Zhejiang Time”.
The current Yangtze River Delta sports festival is guided by the mass sports department of the State Sports General Administration. Sport Bureau of Zhejiang province, Shanghai Sports Bureau, Jiangsu Sports Bureau, Anhui sports bureau, Zhejiang sports federation, Shanghai Sports Federation, Jiangsu Sports Federation, the Anhui Provincial Sports Federation and Huzhou Municipal People’s Government jointly sponsored the theme of “National Fitness to meet the Asian Games with confidence and wealth”. The opening ceremony will be held at the end of April Huzhou, Zhejiang.
At the press conference, Xu Yong, director of the Sport Bureau of Zhejiang province Group Department, introduced that the opening and closing ceremony, theme events and national fitness supporting projects were set up in sports festival of the Yangtze River Delta, it will be launched according to the “1+2+3 + N” mode, namely “1” opening ceremony, “2” warm-up projects, “3” series themes, the “N” event will show the society the effectiveness of the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta sports integration and the sports resources and characteristics of Zhejiang.
It is reported that this year’s Yangtze River Delta sports festival theme event will combine the characteristics of three provinces in one city of Yangtze River Delta to innovate and launch three scenario-based event series, namely, green water and green mountains series, beautiful countryside series and vitality square series, it corresponds to three hot scenes of national fitness. For example, there are water paddle board competitions and Mountain cross-country competitions in the green water and Green Mountain series; There are directional competitions and figure skipping ropes in the beautiful country series; The vitality square series includes sports such as fitness yoga and street dance, it not only promotes sports and shows the natural endowment of Yangtze River Delta, but also highlights the leading wisdom of carrying out national fitness according to local conditions.
In addition to theme events, the Yangtze River Delta sports festival will also hold N sub-activities, all of which are popular national fitness events and activities, including tug-of-war elite competition, 3V3 basketball competition, land rowing competition, etc. The event covers people in various group and aims to create a warm atmosphere for national fitness to welcome the Asian Games.
As the host of sports festival, Ruan Yeping, deputy mayor of Huzhou Municipal People’s Government, said in his speech that Huzhou is a sports city with “sports”, a fashion city with sports, the vibrant city of “Love Sports. In recent years, Huzhou municipal Party committee and municipal government stood at the height of implementing the national strategy of Healthy China and national fitness, comprehensively accelerated the construction of a modern sports city, successively introduced the International Road Cycling Race around Taihu Lake, the Yangtze River Delta Open Water Swimming Championships, 2022 Super League and other brand events, the number of national events and provincial key events undertaken ranked the top three in Zhejiang province. Huzhou City’s National Fitness Development Index and per capita sports venues all rank first in Zhejiang province.
At the press conference, Hu Guoping, deputy director of Sport Bureau of Zhejiang province, awarded the third Yangtze River Delta mixed badminton doubles promotion ambassador certificate to Xu Dongxiang, the sports festival champion of Tokyo Olympic Games and the Meritorious world champion of Chinese rowing project.
