Hebei plans three major formats to solve the problem of using Winter Olympics competition venues after the game

Zhangjiakou, Hebei province is one of the skiing events venues for Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympic Games. According to reports, Hebei actively learned from international experience and established the leading group of Hebei province to accelerate the development of latter Olympic games economy, and systematically planned the follow-up utilization of competition venues in Zhangjiakou area of Beijing Winter Olympics, formulate and issue the overall plan for the follow-up utilization of competition venues in Zhangjiakou competition area of Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.

According to the introduction, over the past year, Hebei has actively joined the international winter sports organization, the State General Administration of Sport of China, other provinces and cities and various resources in the province to promote the faster and better flow of various elements to Zhangjiakou. 31 national and provincial professional events were held in the Winter Olympic venues and surrounding areas, and 16 national training teams and 21 provincial teams were stationed in the Winter Olympic venues successively. In 2023, 133 events are planned to be held in and around the Winter Olympics venues (including 10 international, 29 national and 94 provincial).

In addition, Hebei has signed agreements with 11 provinces such as Beijing and Heilongjiang to use the facilities of Winter Olympics venues for training competitions, after the formal signing of the framework agreement on high-quality development and cooperation of Olympic sports with Zhangjiakou municipal government, efforts will be made to promote the reuse of Winter Olympic heritage and maximize benefits.
