BEIJING, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) — Comprehensive Japanese media reported that on the 26th, Japan’s famous figure skater Yuzuru Hanyu held a personal ice performance “GIFT” in Tokyo Dome stadium. This is the first time that the venue has held a separate performance hosted by flower skaters.
The Ice performance was conducted by Yu Sheng as the production commander-in-chief. A total of 35000 spectators came to the scene to watch the performance, and about 30000 others watched the live broadcast in the cinema.
Yuzuru Hanyu said, “I have been practicing hard. There are many times I don’t think my practice will pay off. I really don’t know if I can meet everyone’s expectations, so I also had a very hard time.”
“But I am very happy. After all, I like flower skating. I really appreciate everyone. I hope that even today is the day you can leave memories in your life.” He said.
Born in 1994 Yuzuru Hanyu, he won gold medals in the figure skating men’s skating competitions in Sochi in 2014 and Pyeongchang in 2018. In July 2022, Yuzuru Hanyu announced its withdrawal from competitive competitions and turned to the professional field of figure skating.
