Xinhua News Agency, Harbin, February 6 (reporter Wang Nina) on February 6, the 2020-2023 national cross-country skiing championships ended at the Yabuli sports training base in Heilongjiang province. After fierce competition, the Heilongjiang team finally gained three gold and two silver. Among them, Li Xin participated in three women’s competitions and won three gold medals.
This tournament lasts for four days, with men’s and women’s short distance (traditional), men’s (free) starting at an interval of 15 kilometers, women’s (free) starting at an interval of 10 kilometers, men’s, women’s Group short distance (free), and men’s 4 × 10km relay and women’s 4 × 5km relay four groups of projects. A total of 193 athletes from 19 provincial and municipal teams participated in the competition. The Heilongjiang team sent 16 male and female athletes to participate in the competition. In addition, there are 8 athletes participating in the team of Heihe Sports Bureau.
In the men’s and women’s short distance (traditional) competition on the first day, Li Xin won the women’s short distance (traditional) gold medal, and his teammate Chen Ling won the silver medal; Shang Jincai won the men’s short distance (traditional) silver Medal. In the women’s team short distance (free) competition on the third match day, Li Xin’s partner, Chen Ling, won the gold medal. In the women’s 4 × 5km relay race on the last day, the Heilongjiang team composed of Li Xin, Chen Ling Shuang, Wang Yundi and Jin Ran won the gold medal.
After the game, Wang Yan, coach of Heilongjiang cross-country skiing team, said, “I am very satisfied from the results of this tournament and the performance of athletes. Except Li Xin, other athletes are after 00, which is the first time these young athletes have participated in national competitions. Through the competition, they accumulated experience in the competition and conducted targeted training after finding the deficiencies. Such athletes as Chen Lingshuang, Wang Yundi and Jin ran, they have only trained cross-country skiing for two and a half years, and it is not easy to achieve such results. In the new and old alternate period, Heilongjiang cross-country skiing will be on them in the next ten years.”
After the championship, Li Xin, Chen Lingshuang, Wang Yundi, Jin Ran and Fu Yu (male) were selected into the national team. Heilongjiang cross-country skiing team will also leave for Daihai International Ski Resort Ulanchap in Inner Monglia on the 9th to participate in the 2022-2023 national cross-country skiing championship.
