BEIJING, March 5 (Xinhua) — On the 4th Beijing time, the cold water jug World Youth Championship ended in Germany in 2023. The Chinese men’s team composed of the fourth base captain Fei Xueqing, the third base Guan Tianqi, the second base Li Zhichao, the first base Xie Xingyin, and the substitute Ye Jianjun defeated the host German team at 8:7 in the final and won the championship. This is the first champion of the cold water jug World Youth Championship in Chinese team history.
On the 5th, the Winter Sports Management Center of the State Sports General Administration sent a congratulatory letter to the team, “this time you overcome difficulties, challenge yourself, win the championship bravely, and achieve a new breakthrough in the development of cold water jug projects.” In the congratulatory letter, he stressed that he hoped that the team would take winning the championship as a new starting point, keep down-to-earth, face difficulties and move forward, and constantly make new and greater progress.
