The reporter learned from the organizing committee that on December 27, the 12th Mannings international surfing festival, the 2022 National Surfing Championships and the national youth surfing championships ended at the Riyue Bay national surfing training base. This surfing festival attracted 15 professional teams from 11 provinces and regions and nearly 300 people participated in the competition.
This National Surfing Championship has four projects: men’s short board, women’s short board, men’s long board and women’s long board, which are divided into open group, U18 group and U15 group to compete. The competition also has team competitions and relay competitions. During the competition, the wave height of Riyue Bay reached 3 meters, providing good conditions for the players to play stably. The players lived up to expectations and achieved good results of more than 10 points.
After 6 days of fierce competition and multiple rounds of competition, the results of each project have been released. Hainan team won more than half of the championships and became the biggest winner of this competition. Sichuan team Yang Siqi won the women’s short-board champion in the open group, U18 group and U15 group by one person, becoming the most dazzling player in this competition. Hainan Sports Vocational and Technical School and Guangdong team each won an individual championship.
Wanning city has successfully held the 12th international surfing festival, hosting national surfing events such as National Surfing Championships and National Youth surfing championships for many years. Driven by the competition, the popularity of surfing is getting higher and higher. The surfing industry in Mannings is getting bigger and bigger, and the surfing culture in Riyue Bay is getting stronger and stronger. According to statistics, there are currently 33 surfing clubs, more than 170 surfing coaches and hundreds of surfing enthusiasts in the Bay Area. m
